Puma has just launched this week its latest model: the Wild Rider Rollin. As the face of the campaign is the world famous Neymar Jr.. Presented as the footballer's favourite model, the Wild Rider were made for off the pitch. They are the first non-performance footwear bet that Neymar Jr. represents for Puma, after becoming the brand's ambassador in 2020.

They are part of the Puma Rider family and are inspired by the movement of city life. The Wild Rider Rollin are the next step in the collection that started with the Future Rider. With a raw and bold design, the new Puma model has futuristic circles on the midsole, layers of colour and the slogan "designed by Puma" on the back. On a material level, the Wild Rider are made with an overlay of suede, leather and nylon, on a TPU sole with Rider foam, exclusive to Puma. The model crosses design elements of the brand's track shoes from the 90s with the OG Rider, bringing past and future together.

In a statement from the brand, Neymar Jr. confessed he was excited to be the face of some sneakers off the football field. Despite his obvious interest in the world of sports, the number 10 of the Brazilian national team has a keen interest in fashion, often sharing his best looks on his personal instagram page, where he has more than 151 million followers. In order to create the perfect footwear, the player was especially focused on the construction of the midsole, which gives a differentiating look to the model. Neymar Jr. guarantees that the sneakers represent a bit of his personality: there is movement and a great desire to look forward.

The Brazilian footballer signed a partnership with Puma in September 2020, after 15 years of collaborations with Nike. Since then he has worked on five collaborations with the brand, the first four of which were focused on performance products. Playing for Paris Saint- Germain since 2017, which gave him the title of the most expensive transfer in football history for 222 million euros, the footballer has already been considered one of the 100 most influential people in the world -in 2017- and the fourth highest paid athlete -in 2020- by Forbes. It was also in 2020 that he popularised the expression 'dad's on' during the celebrations of Paris Saint- Germain's Champions League qualification. The expression, which means 'I'm ready for anything',quickly went viral on social media.

Join Neymar Jr. and celebrate youth culture. The Wild Rider is here to take you further, faster and beyond.
