Officialised in 1931, World Animal Day is celebrated annually on 4 October, the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi - patron saint of animals and nature. This date is celebrated every year all over the world in order to draw humanity's attention to the importance of preserving the lives of all species on our planet.
World Animal Day at BZR Street Style and Bazar Desportivo
If there is an advantage to having a day dedicated to a wide variety of causes, being able to remember the importance of these struggles every year and appeal for society's help is undoubtedly one of them. And as such, the animal cause is no exception!
It was with this in mind that BZR Street Style and Bazar Desportivo, with the support of the Santo Tirso Municipal Dog Kennel and Cattery, decided to celebrate World Animal Day with the "Let’s adopt!" campaign.
This year, with a more local focus, the "Let’s adopt!" campaign aims to promote, raise awareness and encourage the adoption of companion animals, particularly in the Santo Tirso region.
In addition to the call for adoption, this campaign also aims to raise funds to contribute to the well-being and better living conditions of our four-legged friends. So, until 31 October, our BZR Street Style and Bazar Desportivo shops in Santo Tirso will be collecting donations which will then be given to the Santo Tirso Animal Friends Association - ASAAST.

Ciclone
This is Ciclone. Ciclone is an impressive large dog aged between 4 and 5. Despite his incredible ability as a guard dog, what sets Ciclone apart is undoubtedly his infectious energy. Extremely active, this canine is the source of joy that any family needs.
What's more, we can't help but share his great passion. Yes, Ciclone is passionate about water. For him, there's nothing better than running and playing in the water.
Django
Django is a kitten, around 1.5 years old, known for his playful nature and passion for fun.
However, what makes Django special is his interaction with other cats. Passionate about the company of his friends, Django loves having other cats around him and the other cats love being around Django.
Django's vibrant personality and love of fun make him a marvellous companion.
Lizzy e Loki
Lizzy and Loki are two adorable big brothers with inexhaustible energy who melt hearts wherever they go.
However, what really makes them special is their sweetness. They are incredibly gentle, love kisses and never tire of expressing their affection for people.
As well as being great family pets, Lizzy and Loki also have a natural talent for being watchdogs.
As well as Ciclone, Django, Lizzy and Loki, the Santo Tirso Municipal Kennel and Cattery is also home to Maggie, Malhuia, Luigi, Neo and many other dogs who are still waiting for a new home and a new family!
