Puma Mayze and the female power

With a high sole. With pronounced embossing. With two colours. With a gold logo. With suede and with Dua Lipa. We're talking about Puma's latest model: the Mayze.

Dua Lipa's relationship with Puma became official last November. Now, the singer's first campaign has been released and in the spotlight are the Mayze. This model from Puma combines the classic with the bold, by joining the brand's characteristic stripe with a platform sole.

The Mayze were thought for those who follow the latest fashion trends. With a street-inspired design, the trainers have rubber moulds to create a more modern, layered look. The textured rubber sole offers great grip and comfort.

The campaign was captured by Italian fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti in a concert backstage setting. According to the singer, the Mayze have a perfect fit. They are ideal for both on and off stage, thanks to the model's versatility. They can be paired with the most diverse looks, whether casual, sporty or streetstyle.

However, more than a well-made model from Puma, the Mayze are one of the models launched by the brand through the "She moves us" platform.

Without women, there would be no Puma

"She is active in her life, her workouts and her world. Whether in fashion or sport, she leaves her mark. She moves with confidence and style, turning heads and stirring conversations as she passes by. She inspires women around her and keeps the conversation going. She moves us." This is the motto of the "She moves us" platform.

When in 1948 Rudolf Dassler founded Puma, he took 14 employees from his old factory with him. Eight of them were women. And it was with the intention of valuing women that the "She moves us" platform saw the light of day earlier this year. It aims to celebrate the women who are driving culture and sport forward. Led by Dua Lipa, the brand will share stories and conversations with women from various areas throughout the year.

In a statement, the singer shared that "sharing success stories is part of changing the narrative, especially in fields like sports and entertainment, which tend to amplify men's achievements." Furthermore, Dua Lipa believes that being able to celebrate personal achievements is exciting and encourages other women to bet everything on themselves. Together with Puma, the artist wants to show the world what women are capable of. In addition to Dua Lipa, other brand ambassadors are also part of the movement, such as models Winnie Harlow and Cara Delevigne and athletes Skylar Diggins- Smith and Lexi Thompson.

If you go to the Puma Catchup page, you can see the interviews that have been done so far. You'll find testimonials about how the interviewees became the women they are today, who the women who helped them were, how they overcame obstacles in their personal and professional lives and how they got to the top in their fields.

Puma wants to get the world talking about the reality and rights of women and girls. It started with Dua Lipa and now it's your turn. Get inspired by other women's stories and the Puma Mayze.
