Feel the Baewatch vibes with your new bikini

Feel the Baewatch vibes with your new bikini

You wake up early in the morning and notice the sun is shining outside. The temperature is ideal and you haven't got anything lined up yet. It's a perfect day to go to the beach, the pool or the river, but there's a problem: you don't have anything to wear. Don't worry! To help you when it's time to choose your new bikini or swimsuit, we've put together the swimwear trends for 2021.

This year there's a big bet on retro models. The use of high waistbands is one of the strong points, as well as the return of the briefs with a hang glider cut. Coming directly from the 80's, the hang glider is a model of a low-cut bottom that ends above the waist line. This modeling elongates the legs, making them stand out. In addition, there is a big bet on pieces with cut-outs.

When it comes to tops, the trends are divided between triangles and sporty tops.Due to the pandemic, the athleisure movement has gained a lot of strength in the last year and has leapt from the streets to the beaches.  It is characterised by the use of sportier and more comfortable clothes, so the sporty tops have been highlighted in the Ellesse collection 2021, which combine perfectly with the swimwear we have already told you about.

Speaking now of swimsuits, you can find more caved-in models and with plenty of string, following two of the season's big trends. In addition, the cutouts in swimsuits are even stronger. Be it a triangle on the side or two round sides, the cutouts have been imported from streetwear to beachwear. There is still a bet that never fails, which are the classic models, in neutral colours, such as black. Apart from being an option that covers more skin, swimsuits are also ideal to wear off the beach. Just combine them with trousers, shorts or a skirt.

We have yet to talk in terms of colour and pattern. As expected, tie-dye invaded the swimwear and Ellesse didn't let itself be left behind. Champion bet on graphics with the brand name. In terms of colour, our products this year are within a more pastel and feminine range. Black, blue, pink and lilac predominate.

Now that we've mentioned the major trends of the season, let's talk about the type of bikini or swimsuit you should buy. No, we won't make suggestions according to body types, because you can and should wear whatever you feel like, but we will suggest models according to what you want to enhance. For example, if you want to accentuate your shoulders, you can bet on strapless tops or with straps closer to the neck, like the Ellesse Parli top. This will make the attention fall on your shoulders, since they are more exposed.

If on the other hand you prefer to highlight your legs, use and abuse of more low-cut bottoms. As we've already said, this modeling elongates the legs, elevating the look until after the waist. If, in fact, what you want is to highlight your waist, you should opt for a more belted model like the Ellesse Watchel swimsuit. The elastic waist imitates a belt, emphasizing the area, creating and highlighting curves. You can also opt for a bottom part with cut-outs, like the Ellesse Cosi briefs.

If you prefer to accentuate the back, choose a simpler model in the front, but with a more open back, like the Ellesse Presento or the Adidas TRF. Finally, if you want to highlight the chest area, a good option are triangle bikinis and more low-cut tops or with openings, like the models with zips. There are pieces that combine several tips, like the Elesse Watchel that highlights legs, waistband and chest. You just have to choose what meets what you want.

Now that you know what to look for, all that's left is to feel the sand under your feet, the water on your skin and the sun on your face. Celebrate summer with BZR and feel all the baewatch vibes you deserve.
