Up to Five: men's boots

Up to Five: men's boots

Rainy and cold days are becoming more frequent and everyone needs at least a good pair of boots. We've already explored the suggestions for women and now it's time to see the ones for men. As promised, Up to Five is here with the best boots for men.

This year's trends, when it comes to men's boots, are quite identical to last year's, since they're more classic and timeless. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't a model that suits all tastes. So, as well as showing you BZR- Street Style Culture's five favourite boots, we'll talk you, at the same time, about the trends that you should know for this season. Although we'll divide the boots by categories, you'll realize that many of them fit more than one trend.

Dr. Martens 1460

Dr. Martens 1460

The boot, in itself, is an essential item in every wardrobe. Aside from instantly transforming any outfit, boots tend to be more durable and protect our feet quite thoroughly, especially if we're talking about Dr. Martens’s.

It's precisely in this segment that the English brand shines: in combat boots. For a few years now that this style of boots has been highlighted and this season was no exception. Dr. Martens combat boots are true icons, recognized anywhere in the world.

This model that we bring you, the 1460, was created in 1960 and gave origin to the brand's entire history. Since then, the boot was revitalized in 2003, without much changing. This specific design marked many movements like Britpop, Nu-metal and Emo. Currently, the Dr. Martens 1460 are a bet on the durable, the timeless and the resistant.

Gant Dandre

From the irreverent we move to the outdoors with the Gant Dandre. Available in two colours, these boots come to reiterate the influence of the environment in the fashion world. These boots are simply perfect for nature walks, be it in the mountains or in a more city environment like a park.

The Gant Dandre are made of leather and textile and synthetic materials. They stand out for their outsole, which gives them a more robust, rough and interesting look. They feature a modern design, which will allow you to combine them with a large number of outfits.

Kappa Gunter

Kappa Gunter

Still within the aesthetic linked to nature and hiking boots, we have the Kappa Gunter, with a safer, more neutral and reliable design. They are the right boots for a more practical style. Although the trend they apply to is called hiking boots, they are not meant for just that purpose. Ultimately, you should think of them in the same way you think of cargo trousers or plaid flannel shirts. All of these examples are part of what you would expect to find in the wardrobe of someone hiking in the mountains in the 1950s.

The Gunter boots stand out for their robustness, thanks to their lacing system that goes through eyelets. The tricolour sole and the different coloured strap on the heel make the all-black model more interesting.

Champion Mican

Champion Mican

These Champion could be considered more of a hiking boot, especially for the fact that they are waterproof, but the truth is that we consider them sportier. It's nothing new that sports aesthetics, namely athleisure, are everywhere. The same applies to footwear. The Mican ends up being a pair of sneakers with a higher shaft.

The overall design of the boot is similar to the previous ones, having a sturdy sole and have been produced in classic and timeless colours, such as beige and black. The upper, on the other hand, is made of extremely resistant synthetic leather. The result is a discreet boot that is easy to wear and will keep your feet dry and warm.

Timberland Originals II Leather 6

Timberland Originals II Leather 6

If the Champion ones already had a bit of a work shoe aesthetic, these boots are an easy allusion to that trend that's very strong this season. As the name may indicate, work boots served to protect the feet of the employees that worked in a more physical sector, like construction, for example.

Within this aesthetic, Timberland is a brand of reference. This model that we bring you is a reinterpretation of the original yellow boot and uses LITE leather -with a small environmental impact- from a responsible source. In addition to that, it has an anti-fatigue insole, 100% cotton laces and a Gripstick rubber sole that guarantees more traction.

Any of these options is a guaranteed right choice. We would have liked to show you more models from certain brands, but we consider it more important to share several different brands than several models of the same one. So, don't forget to go to our website to see our collection of boots for men. You won't regret it, because it's very difficult to go through the cold winter months without a good pair of boots to keep you company.
