Top 5: Converse All Star

Top 5: Converse All Star

We haven't brought you a 'Top 5' in a while. Do you remember how it works? In this section we show you the five best products of your favourite brands. Today it's Converse's turn, more precisely All Star.

Right from the beginning we knew that this list would be different from the normal. It only took us a few minutes to realize that it's quite difficult to choose five models of the moment when the All Star are so classic. Both the most recent model and the oldest deserve a place in this podium. So, we ended up choosing a selection that represents the diversity within the original All Star model. Here, you'll find platforms, high shafts, low shafts, tractor soles, waterproof fabrics and classic shades that never fail!

1. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low sneakers

Unsurprisingly, let's start with the basics of basics. This model from Converse low represents the true essence of the All Star. Available in several colours and with a high-top version, we decided to bring you the white model because of its versatility. It's true that it's a more spring footwear, but that doesn't mean that you can't use it on a sunny winter day with some high socks that highlight the model. Your imagination is the limit of your style.

These All Star were created in the 1950s and, since then, they have remained practically the same. They are made with textile materials and feature an OrthoLite sockliner for greater comfort. Out of curiosity, did you know that the medial eyelets of these sneakers favour airflow?

2. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top Lift sneakers

You already know that the previous sneakers we've shown you exist in a higher-top lift version. But, by any chance, have you ever seen the model where the upper is extra high? Those are the High Top Lift, a creative customization of the original model for those who are not afraid of taking risks.

Despite being in everything similar to the original All Star, this model elevates any style, not only for its elongated cut, but also for its 4cm double platform sole. This model has similarities with a boot, referring to the punk style, movement that practically appropriated the All Star in the 70s.

3. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged sneakers

Taking advantage of the fact that we're talking about the punk movement and that we've already shown you a Converse model in black, we now jump into these sneakers with a tractor sole. In the latest All Star collection, the bet on platform soles and with reliefs was obvious. From models with double sole, to versions with a robust sole that extends almost to the middle of the instep, there are many irreverent options. This is one of those models.

The All Star Lugged are a reinvention of the classic model. Made with textile materials, a warm fabric lining and an OrthLite sockliner, these sneakers have a 4.7 cm high outsole with high traction grooves.

4. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star All Terrain sneakers

This is the last model in black that we're going to show you. It's true that the sneakers that we've told you about so far exist in other colours, but we almost always end up choosing the black version so that you have an option that can easily match your style.

We don't know if you noticed, but throughout this list we've been moving towards winter, the season in which we find ourselves. We started with a classic All Star for sunny days, then we moved on to a more boot-style option and now we've finally reached the waterproof models. The All Terrain are one of those acquisitions that you won't want to miss, in case you have a more relaxed style and aren't a person that wears boots.

These All Star are prepared for any type of terrain. With waterproof leather, the All Terrain have a carded interior with wool lining and an OrthoLite sockliner so comfort and warmth aren't an issue. Plus, the sole stands out from the typical white waffle sole so the model doesn't lack traction.

5. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Berkshire sneakers

Because the world is not painted in black and white, we end with one of the brand's latest models, this time in brown. It's true that it's still a dark model and in earth tones, but it's a prominent colour this season.

Similar in some aspects to the model that we showed you a while ago, the Berkshire are made of water-resistant synthetic leather, they have a carded lining and an OrthoLite sockliner for more comfort. Their 2.5 cm sole has high traction thanks to the textured relief. They are the right All Star for those who are looking for a more classic look, without neglecting the weather that's out the door.

As you might imagine, the Converse All Star are a unisex model. If they're in your size, use them and abuse them. They are the sneakers of the stars and exist to make you shine. You can discover all the models that we have on our website using the button below.
